Set on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, Taj Exotica nestle itself among the old charm of lush greenery and exceptional ensemble of rocky cliff formation and terrain facing the beach. The site was an old quarry back in the British period which created a cliff facing the sea. The design took advantage of using the height differences from the entrance level. The main entrance to the hotel is from the 3rd level and the building is designed with floors below with a cascading effect facing the sea with a panoramic view towards the Indian Ocean.
The design embodies architectural excellence, showcasing a pure and sophisticated contemporary style. It unfolds gracefully across its serene natural tableau, an artful concoction of equilibrium and innovation. Each line, each material, and each interstice speak of meticulous craftsmanship.
The building stands as a strong architectural landmark, with its carefully crafted stone façades evoking a sense of timeless strength. These walls, rooted in nature, rise confidently in the landscape, commanding attention while respecting their natural origins
